Robert and I were friends and co-members of the Market Technician's Assn back in the late 1980s and I was honored that chose my Volume Reversal Indicator to be mentioned in the book.

I was a friend of Robert Colby and co-members of the Market Technicians Association and was personally honored he incorporated my VR (Volume Reversal) in his book. I also felt he was way ahead of the crowd in putting together such a comprehensive book and I wanted to honor him with a mention.

It is my understanding that Edwin Lefevre is a pseudo-name for Jesse Livermore. Jesse Livermore was a stock trader that amassed a huge fortune worth $100 million ($1.5 billion in today's money) at his peak in 1929. Livermore traded on his own, using his own funds, his own system, and not trading anyone else's capital.

I felt a strong affinity with this book because my stock market mentor, Roger Cole, had described his relationship with Jesse Livermore and I felt reading the book was like a friend was telling me the story. In fact, Roger did tell me similar stories of personal encounters with Jesse and I felt warm and fuzzy hearing all the stock manipulation stories, especially since Roger was a stock manipulator in his day and probably learned the techniques from Jesse.

Harry and I are personal friends and I am an occasional contributor on his daily live website.  Regardless, I follow his work everyday which is broadcast during market hours.  He and I  are both in our mid-70s and have been trading and writing about the stock market for 40-plus years.
